WIVP and Futures gather national men’s movement leaders in San Francisco

The Waitt Institute for Violence Prevention, in partnership with Futures without Violence, convened the first annual men’s movement against violence national summit called “The Y Factor” in San Francisco April 12. ┬áMovement leaders such as MVP founder Jackson Katz, Men Can Stop Rape’s Neil Irvin, author Michael Kimmel and ManUp founder Jimmie Briggs, among many others, joined sports legends Willie Mays and Joe Torre, and supporters Nancy Pelosi and Ted Waitt for a day long conference highlighting the “Engaging Men and Boys” in violence prevention movement in America.
