After the screening, a town hall style discussion was held. Hirsch led the discussion, calling on students to write about their experiences and what they’re doing to step up against it. “This is where change begins — right here today,” he said. “Each and every one of you are change-makers.” Afterwards, Hirsch described being “overwhelmed” by the experience. Also participating in the event were a variety of LA notables including “Victorious” star Avan Jogia. The event was made possible thanks to sponsorship from the L.A. Fund.
